Job summary

Synergent in Westbrook, ME is seeking a Human Resources & Employee Experience Specialist to join our team. This full-time role blends payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee engagement to create positive experiences for colleagues.

You will manage weekly payroll, HRIS tasks, employee records, and support events and culture initiatives, while providing backup front desk support. The ideal candidate has 2+ years HR experience and an associate degree; a Bachelor's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Resources or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years in Human Resources, payroll, benefits administration, or administrative support.
• Experience processing payroll and working with HRIS/payroll systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
• Administer employee benefits and assist with enrollments, changes, and employee questions.
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees by responding to routine HR inquiries.
• Provide administrative support for HR programs, processes, and documentation.
• Maintain confidential employee records and ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate employee recognition, engagement, and appreciation initiatives.
• Assist with planning and supporting employee events and workplace culture programs.
• Provide backup front desk support, including answering calls and welcoming visitors.
• Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
