Halian is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams across hardware and software product development, with a people-first leadership approach.

You will empower senior engineers, own delivery timelines, and drive organizational growth while collaborating with the CTO and executive leadership.

This role emphasizes developing leaders, improving processes, and scaling engineering programs in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in hardware and/or software product development.
• 4+ years managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, including senior engineers, Principal Engineers, or Technical Leads.
• Experience in people management, performance reviews, hiring, succession planning, and organizational development.
• Demonstrated success building, developing, and scaling engineering teams in growing organizations.
• Experience managing through senior technical leaders while maintaining accountability for overall team performance and delivery.
• Strong understanding of hardware and software product development lifecycles, including dependencies, trade-offs, and risks.
• Experience managing complex engineering schedules, milestones, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Ability to coordinate multiple engineering disciplines while maintaining alignment with priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting updates to executives and customers.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status.

Responsabilités

• Lead, manage, and develop Principal Engineers and Technical Leads across RF, Electrical, Embedded Firmware, Application Software, Systems Integration, and Security.
• Build a strong engineering culture focused on accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Coach and mentor engineering leaders, establish career development pathways, and support succession planning.
• Own performance management processes, including reviews, development plans, promotions, and improvement initiatives.
• Oversee engineering delivery across the full product development lifecycle from concept to production readiness.
• Manage engineering schedules, milestones, resources, and dependencies across multiple disciplines.
• Partner with the CTO to translate technical direction into actionable engineering plans and delivery commitments.
• Resolve cross-functional resource, scheduling, and prioritization challenges while escalating decisions as needed.
• Establish structured processes for design reviews, risk management, QA, and delivery tracking.
• Monitor engineering KPIs, identify delivery risks, and report to executive leadership.
• Lead workforce planning, headcount forecasting, recruitment, and organizational development.
• Support scaling of engineering teams and processes to meet growth.
• Represent engineering in leadership discussions and customer-facing meetings.
