Job summary

Chesapeake Urology, Maryland's leading urology practice, seeks an HR Generalist to partner with employees and managers from onboarding through offboarding, ensuring a positive experience and compliant processes.

You will manage day-to-day HR policies, performance support, leave administration, and employee relations while coordinating with Payroll, Benefits, IT, and Compliance to keep content and systems current. This role offers strong growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of progressively responsible HR experience (onboarding, HR operations, leave administration, employee relations support, or generalist work).
• Experience facilitating onboarding, orientation, or training sessions.
• Experience with employee relations intake, documentation, and supporting managers on routine matters.
• Working knowledge of employment practices; multi-state experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms; Workday strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads onboarding, offboarding, and employee experience initiatives from offer to departure.
• Handles routine HR policy questions, employee relations, and coordination with HR leadership on sensitive matters.
• Guides managers through performance management processes and coaching documentation.
• Supports leave administration (Maryland FAMLI) and unemployment claim processes.
• Manages HR data in Workday, maintains trackers and reports, and ensures data confidentiality.
