Job summary

Carleton College in Northfield, MN seeks an Employee Experience Manager to lead staff development and performance management with an equity lens. You will consult with managers, design programs, and guide onboarding to strengthen workforce capabilities and campus culture.

The role reports to the Director of Human Resources, oversees one direct report, and partners with IDE to promote inclusive leadership across College operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive, full-time HR experience with training design and performance management.
• Experience in organizational management and employment law/compliance.
• Proven experience supporting a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and oversee staff learning, development, and training programs.
• Create onboarding plans to ensure new-hire engagement and connectivity.
• Deliver workshops to supervisors on management best practices and inclusive leadership.
• Partner with leadership to design career pathways and internal mobility.
• Coordinate and refine performance appraisal, review, and feedback mechanisms.
• Analyze engagement data to identify trends and drive improvement.
• Develop recognition strategies to highlight staff contributions.
