Job summary

Carleton College in Northfield, MN seeks an Employee Experience Manager to lead staff development and performance management. You will consult with campus leaders on professional growth, onboarding, and equitable practices, reporting to the Director of Human Resources.

The role emphasizes creating a welcoming culture, driving engagement, and ensuring compliant, effective HR processes across the College. Experience in higher education is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive, full-time HR experience with training design and performance management.
• Demonstrated experience in organizational management and employment law/compliance.
• Experience supporting a diverse workforce and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff orientation and develop campus-wide training programs.
• Design onboarding plans and deliver management workshops on inclusive leadership.
• Partner with leadership on career pathways and internal mobility.
• Coordinate performance appraisal processes and metrics.
• Advise on HR policies to ensure compliance and clear communications.
