Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with daily store activities, merchandise organization, and maintaining clean, well-stocked environments.

The role includes assisting in training Store Associates, processing directives, and ensuring safety and policy compliance while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Retail management experience in grocery or similar environment preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced store environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain storefront fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling/cash handling, and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized store areas and secure assets
• Ensure safety and policy compliance for staff and customers
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restrooms
