Job summary

SKIMS is seeking an Assistant Store Leader – People & Culture in West Virginia to partner with the Store Leader on building a high-performing team and delivering outstanding customer service. You will own recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations while driving a culture of inclusivity and trust.

You will coach a team to meet store KPIs, plan schedules, and develop learning plans. The role emphasizes people-first leadership and brand values in daily operations.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a people leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of hiring, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
• Proactive talent pipeline building through networking and ongoing outreach.
• Experience handling employee relations with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Understanding of customer service principles and impact of people leadership.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Strong leadership and coaching to achieve store results.
• Emotional intelligence and ability to navigate interpersonal challenges.
• Ability to build trust and develop future leaders at SKIMS.
• Passion for the SKIMS brand and service approach.
• Must be able to stand and be active 100% of the shift; lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a Customer Obsessed mindset and coach teams to deliver exceptional service.
• Own talent acquisition, interviews, and hiring; build diverse pipelines.
• Plan staffing proactively and maintain bench of candidates.
• Drive results by aligning staffing with KPIs and customer experience.
• Lead onboarding to ensure new hires feel welcomed and supported.
• Manage scheduling and labor planning to meet business demands.
• Identify training needs and build development plans.
• Support performance management and coaching culture.
• Handle employee relations with confidentiality and integrity.
• Develop succession plans and nurture internal talent.
• Design engagement strategies recognizing wins and diversity.
• Ensure compliance with policies and labor laws.
• Partner with Store Leader and HQ People & Culture on resources.
• Model inclusivity and emotional intelligence daily.
