Job summary

Global Fund for Women seeks a People & Culture Officer to lead HR operations, talent acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, employee engagement, performance management, and DEIB initiatives. This role partners with leadership to ensure compliant, equitable people practices that reflect our values and support staff to thrive.

The position reports to the VP of People & Culture and balances strategic priorities with day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced, mission-driven nonprofit

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR or People & Culture experience.
• Working knowledge of HR laws and compliance requirements.
• Experience leading recruitment and talent management processes.
• Experience designing and implementing HR policies, programs, and systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships across levels of an organization and serve as a trusted resource.
• Experience supporting organizational learning and professional development initiatives.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and Employer Branding: Lead full-cycle recruitment in collaboration with hiring managers, develop job descriptions, screens, and manage candidate pipelines.
• Monitor external reputation and strengthen employer brand and recruitment processes.
• Improve candidate experience to ensure responsive, equitable interactions aligned with our values.
