Job summary

Turnwell Mental Health is seeking a thoughtful HR Generalist to partner with clinicians, administrators, and leadership, supporting the full employee lifecycle in a growing, mission-driven environment.

This hybrid/remote role offers end-to-end recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, policy maintenance, and compliance across federal and state laws, with a focus on trauma-informed, equitable hiring practices and professional development aligned with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR generalist experience.
• Healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law.
• Proficiency with HRIS Paycom.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recruiting for non-clinical and administrative roles from sourcing to offer.
• Lead onboarding for new team members, ensuring a welcoming and informed start.
• Serve as first point of contact for employee relations, handling sensitive conversations with discretion.
• Maintain and update HR policies, handbooks, and documentation according to regulations.
• Support performance management processes including reviews, PIPs, and manager coaching.
• Track and report HR metrics such as turnover, time-to-fill, and engagement trends.
• Coordinate training and professional development aligned with licensing requirements.
• Ensure credentialing, licensure tracking, and healthcare HR requirements are met.
