In this role, you'll be a trusted partner to clinicians, administrators, and leadership alike — supporting the full employee lifecycle and helping us build a workplace where people feel valued, safe, and set up to do their best work.This is a hands-on generalist role with meaningful ownership across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and culture. You'll work closely with our Vice President of People & Culture and have real impact on how we grow and care for our team.Position: Hybrid/Remote (Nashville area based, if possible)Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000What You'll DoOwn end-to-end recruiting for non-clinical and administrative roles — from sourcing to offer — with an emphasis on equitable, trauma-informed hiring practicesLead onboarding for new team members, ensuring every hire feels welcomed, informed, and ready from day oneServe as a first point of contact for employee relations concerns, navigating sensitive conversations with empathy and sound judgmentMaintain and update HR policies, handbooks, and documentation in alignment with federal, state, and behavioral health regulationsSupport performance management processes including review cycles, PIPs, and manager coachingTrack and report on key HR metrics such as turnover, time-to-fill, and engagement trendsPartner on DEI and culture initiatives that reinforce our values as a mission-driven organizationCoordinate training and professional development opportunities aligned with clinical licensing requirementsEnsure compliance with credentialing, licensure tracking, and healthcare industry HR requirements2+ years of HR generalist experienceExperience in healthcare or behavioral health settings preferredWorking knowledge of federal and multi-state employment lawDemonstrated skill in navigating employee relations with discretionStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency with HRIS platforms (Paycom preferred)Excellent written and verbal communicationComfort with ambiguity in a growing organizationGenuine passion for mental health and Turnwell's mission
