Job summary

Rock-Walworth Comprehensive Family Services, Inc. is hiring a Human Resources Specialist to partner with leadership to enhance safety, staff development, and organizational culture in a full-time, salaried role.

The position focuses on HR, safety, and compliance, with responsibilities spanning onboarding, training, policy oversight, and employee relations. The role supports policy updates, leaves management, and coordination with Finance and Executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in human resources or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters.
• Ability to collaborate with others and perform with minimal supervision.
• Experience with policy development, onboarding, and training.

Responsibilities

• Partner to achieve a healthy organizational culture that assures safety and increases employee engagement.
• Implement recruitment, hiring and retention strategies; recruit/train volunteers; internships.
• Assist with onboarding process for all new hires.
• Plan and oversee new employee orientation and professional development.
• Assist with Employee Handbook updates and maintain personnel files/records.
• Support performance assessment development reflecting mission and values.
• Maintain safety culture, assist incident reviews and emergency plans.
• Assist policy reviews to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Develop resources to support staff and streamline workflows.
• Support leaders in improving team performance and addressing concerns.
