Job summary

Employees’ Retirement System of Georgia is seeking a Customer Svc Rep 1 to provide frontline pension information and support to members, retirees, survivors, employers, and other stakeholders. This role temp-to-full-time may involve answering inquiries, guiding customers through regulations, and updating PARIS records with accuracy.

The position requires strong communication and multitasking skills and offers opportunities to grow within the service-oriented state government environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and one year of customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn pension regulations and use PARIS system.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, letters, and faxes.
• Direct inquiries to appropriate departments as needed.
• Assist customers with regulations, policies, and procedures to provide accurate pension information.
• Document calls and update client information in PARIS and related systems.
• Identify potential communications improvements based on inquiries.
