Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Health and Welfare benefits compliance specialist and Pension Paymaster to manage multi-client defined benefit pension payroll, ensuring accurate disbursements and regulatory compliance across plans.

You will handle 1099-R reporting, RMDs, and assist with SOC 1 controls while coordinating with plan sponsors, actuaries, and internal teams to maintain audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in pension administration or retirement operations.
• Direct experience with defined benefit pension payroll and disbursements.
• Experience in a TPA or multi-client environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and pension compliance.

Responsibilities

• Administer pension payroll for multiple defined benefit plans across clients.
• Process payments, verify benefit calculations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support audits, reporting requests, and SLA adherence.
• Coordinate with trustees, custodians, and client finance teams.
