Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a seasoned IT professional to join the Defined Benefit Implementation Team in Canada. You will configure Morneau Shepell software to meet client requirements, analyze issues, and provide ongoing client support.

Collaborate across analysts, developers, and PMs in an Agile setting to deliver integrated pension administration solutions. The role emphasizes strong problem-solving and communication skills, with experience in ASP/ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, and SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
• 5+ years in IT, system configuration, implementation, or related areas such as pension plan management
• Experience with configuration tools and object-oriented programming concepts
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficient with ASP, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, SQL and MS SQL Server
• Health and Welfare Benefits and/or Payroll experience is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize effectively, and work independently
• Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and adaptability in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Participate in Defined Benefit implementation and service enhancement projects by configuring software to client needs
• Analyze issues to identify root causes and communicate resolution paths to clients and team
• Provide maintenance and ongoing support to existing clients and benefits teams
• Produce configuration designs aligned with client requirements and system capabilities
• Collaborate with senior team members to deliver integrated solutions in an Agile environment
• Prepare project estimates, schedules, and deliverables
• Review technical documentation and logs to troubleshoot processing errors
• Attend internal trainings to stay current on industry topics and Morneau Shepell system capabilities
• Promote teamwork and TELUS/Morneau Shepell values while delivering service excellence
• Support special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned
