Job summary

SAG-AFTRA Health Plans in Burbank, CA, seeks a detail-oriented Pension Payments Specialist to manage pension distributions, EFT processing, and monthly reporting. You will coordinate with accounting, pensionBenefits staff, and external vendors to ensure accurate, timely payments.

Experience in pension systems and tax reporting is preferred. Responsibilities include reconciliation, audit support, and system testing during implementation cycles.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in pension payment processing or related financial operations.
• Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots) for payment tracking and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Review pension benefits, amendments, terminations, suspensions, and levies for accuracy and escalate exceptions.
• Process EFTs, direct deposits, tax inserts, and beneficiary payments and coordinate with vendor as needed.
• Generate print files, review checks for accuracy, and mail them.
• Reconcile pension payment activity with Accounting and support audits and reporting.
• Collaborate with Pension Benefits Specialists to resolve payment discrepancies.
