Job summary

SAG-Producers Pension Plan in California seeks a Pension Benefit Payment Coordinator to ensure accurate and timely distribution of pension payments to retirees, beneficiaries, and other payees. You will review benefits, process EFTs, reconcile payroll, and support audits.

Working with Accounting, IT, and a payment vendor, you will help implement a new in-house pension administration system in a hybrid workplace, focusing on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in pension payment processing, benefits administration, payroll, or related financial operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations).
• Experience with EFT processing, pension payment rules and tax reporting (1099-R, 1042) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review pension benefits, amendments, terminations, suspensions, and levies before payments are released.
• Process EFTs and direct deposits; balance monthly payroll reports and support year-end tax filings.
• Coordinate with Accounting on reconciliations, check registers, and wire transfers.
• Assist in testing payment workflows and support implementation of in-house pension system.
