The City of Lansing is seeking a Retirement Administrator to oversee pension plans and related retirement benefits. You will manage the retirement office, support both active and retired City employees, respond to inquiries, and provide administrative support to retirement boards and committees.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and at least one year of financial or accounting experience, plus experience with pension administration

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field is required.
• Experience with financial analysis or accounting work is required.
• Experience using pension administration software is required.

Mansioni

• Administers the City Pension plans under the Retirement Boards and Finance Director.
• Keeps records for active and retired members; prepares agendas, minutes, and financial reports.
• Handles employee inquiries regarding retirement benefits including pensions and health coverage.
• Provides work direction and training to the Retirement Technician.
• Conducts counseling on defined contribution plans and fiduciary matters.
• Develops pension estimates and explains them in preretirement counseling.
• Prepares annual retirement board budget and manages invoices and cash flow.
