Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is hiring for a Penetrant Line Operator at Deer Creek in Portland, OR. The role covers thrust in applying fluorescent penetrant to castings, prepping parts for inspection and maintaining the line.

Training is provided, including Level 1 Penetrant Inspection courses and certification. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, the ability to read and follow technical cards, and the physical capability to lift 20–80 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or GED; necessary for NDT certification.
• Ability to write, read and follow specifications on Tech Cards.
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing twenty to forty pounds and occasionally up to eighty pounds.
• Ability to work in difficult working conditions including exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes and other elements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Penetrant Line Operation: complete prep and application of penetrant to castings.
• Maintenance and Housecleaning: maintain line equipment and workspace.
• Safety: follow safety rules and operate equipment safely.
• Completes logs and records; performs other tasks as directed.
