Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an entry-level fluorescent penetrant operator to complete all steps of the application and evaluation process for castings prior to inspection. You will prepare castings, apply penetrant, and ensure proper drying and development.

Responsibilities include visual inspection, cleaning, etching, washing, and developing castings, with attention to safety and documentation. A High School diploma and ability to lift up to 80 pounds are required; training is provided

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or GED (necessary for NDT certification).
• Ability to write, read and follow specifications on Tech Cards.
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing twenty to forty pounds and occasionally up to eighty pounds.
• Ability to work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes and other elements for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Complete all steps in the preparation and application of penetrant to castings.
• Visually inspect castings for surface issues and clean/degrea se as needed.
• Operate penetrant line equipment and apply fluorescent penetrant liquid; develop castings with powder developer.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and complete logs/records.
