Job summary

Qualifications

High School Graduation or GED required for NDT certification.
Ability to read and follow specifications on Tech Cards.
Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing 20–40 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
Ability to work in difficult conditions including noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes.

Responsibilities

Penetrant Line Operation: visually inspects castings for surface dirt and degreases as needed.
Chemically etches castings by local or swab etching and neutralizes parts.
Apply fluorescent penetrant liquid and allow penetrant to be absorbed; rinse and dry.
Develop castings with powdered developer and perform routine inspections.
Maintain clean and orderly work area; adhere to safety rules.
