Job summary

gpac is seeking a Pre-Engineered Metal Building Design Engineer to join our growing team in Houston, TX. This full-time role focuses on PEMB design using MBS software and AutoCAD, delivering detailed drawings and documentation for fabrication and erection.

The candidate will collaborate with project managers and clients, perform design calculations, ensure compliance with codes, and support projects from concept through construction while maintaining deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of experience in structural or metal building design is required.
• EIT or PE certification strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with MBS and AutoCAD is required.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and applicable codes is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PEMB systems using MBS and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to meet project requirements and specifications.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings and documentation for fabrication and erection.
• Perform engineering calculations and checks to ensure code compliance.
• Support project teams through conceptual design to construction.
• Troubleshoot design challenges and propose innovative solutions.
