Job summary
Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Sales Engineer to provide pricing and design support for design/build and bid projects. Candidates must have PEMB design expertise, PE license, AutoCAD experience, and the ability to mentor estimators and sales teams.
The role emphasizes accurate, code-compliant designs, effective communication with Builders and Sales, and ongoing knowledge expansion with travel typically low.
Qualifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- Communicate effectively with customers and Field Sales.
- Check design work by Estimators; train & mentor others.
- PEMB knowledge in product offerings and design considerations.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; senior PEMB expertise.
Responsibilities
- Prepare calculations and engineering details from drawings and specifications.
- Provide accurate, code-compliant designs within manufacturing restraints.
- Consult Builders, Field Sales and Estimators on complex framing and geometry.
- Identify missing information, clarify scope, and qualify quotations.
- Perform and review complex estimates and improve productivity.
