UPMC is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy to a diverse population. You will monitor progress, educate patients and families, and contribute to discharge planning and quality outcomes.

You will collaborate with physicians and the care team, supervise assistants, and participate in ongoing education, with a schedule Monday–Friday and no weekends. UPMC offers robust benefits and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent required.
• Experience evaluating and treating patients using evidence-based practice preferred.
• Ability to educate patients and families effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on patient progress.
• Document patient care, treatment outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Communicate patient status with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants.
• Provide home exercise programs and patient/family education.
• Rotate through treatment areas as needed.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy interventions, monitor progress, and educate patients and families to help achieve optimal outcomes. You will work with a diverse patient population, helping individuals improve mobility, strength, balance, function, and overall quality of life.
