Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

To plan, organize, and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients in various age groups according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team and supervise support staff.

EDUCATION:

Possess at least a master's degree from an accredited college or university, or, for applicants prior to January 1, 2003, a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Current and valid New Jersey license required.

EXPERIENCE:

No previous experience required. One-year experience in outpatient settings preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Current and valid New Jersey license as a Physical Therapist. Current BLS Certification.
• Knowledge of Standard Precautions.
• Keyboard skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately.
• Effective critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Good time management skills to prioritize responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with departments, patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams in accordance with Valley's SERVE and CARE standards.
• Ability to interact effectively with patients in stressful and changing environments based on patient needs.
