Location: Monroe, NJ

Hours: Temporary Day Shift Hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from now until September (covering a maternity leave). Looking for a per diem that would pick up and cover leaves/vacations. We also have evening hours available in all three locations. Flexible and willing to accommodate schedules.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide professional physical therapy services.
  2. Maintain confidentiality standards.
  3. Deliver ethical care that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights, serving as a patient advocate and reporting illegal, incompetent, or impaired practices.
  4. Evaluate one's own practice in relation to professional standards, guidelines, statutes, rules, and regulations.
  5. Provide health teaching and health promotion tailored to the developmental level, learning needs, and cultural background of persons served. Topics include healthy lifestyles, risk-reducing behaviors, activities of daily living, and preventative self-care. Document and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching strategies through patient feedback.
  6. Ensure continuation of therapeutic plans post-discharge by designing home exercise programs, instructing patients and caregivers, recommending assistive equipment, and suggesting follow-up programs.

Credentials:

  • Physical Therapist (Required)
  • Pelvic Wellness experience (Required)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Master of Arts or Science (Required)
  • Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy (Required)
  • Two to four years of experience as a Physical Therapist (Preferred)
