Job summary

Virginia Poultry Growers Cooperative seeks an on-site feed production operator responsible for safe batching, blending, and pelleting. You will plan daily production with the dispatcher, log runs, and operate the pellet mill to meet quality and tonnage targets.

Responsibilities include routing feed to labeled bins, maintaining equipment with regular greasing, and ensuring clean reporting. Training on safety and English communication is required; prior experience is not necessary.

Qualifications

• Safety trainings completed.
• Computer literacy and good math skills.
• Must be able to speak and write in English clearly and fluently.

Responsibilities

• Plan production schedule with dispatcher to maximize pellet mill run time and minimize changes.
• Log each run on daily mixing sheets and complete NAE flush verification as needed.
• Operate pellet mill controls to ensure high quality pellet with good tonnage.
• Ensure feed is routed to correctly labeled bin in loadout.
• Fill micro ingredient bins to avoid cross-contamination and keep lines running.
• Regularly grease pellet mill rolls every 4 hours and check roll adjustment.
• Monitor printers and ensure production reports print clearly.
• Keep work area free of spills and dust; report leaks.
