Job summary

Lignetics Inc. is seeking a Mill Equipment Operator to run and adjust three pellet mills, perform quality checks on pellets, and test incoming materials. Training on first shift will occur during the initial 3 months, with AM or PM shifts available to suit production needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Requires working knowledge of all aspects of the production process.
• Requires a high degree of technical, analytical skills.
• Must be able to pass the forklift certification.
• Requires lifting up to 80 lbs safely and standing up to 12 hours daily.
• Requires climbing ladders up to 30 feet high.
• Requires mechanical and troubleshooting skills for pellet mill maintenance.
• Requires basic math calculations.
• Work in high temperature/humidity areas.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust three pellet mills and perform QC testing of finished pellets.
• Test incoming raw materials and monitor moisture content.
• Handle roll changes on pellet mills using overhead hoist and inspect process.
• Perform routine inspections and identify equipment issues or problems.
• Assist dryer operator to control pellet moisture and report findings.
• Record pellet durability, fines, diameter, and perform soak tests.
• Maintain mill feed rates and clean work area around the mill room.
