Job summary

Western Milling is seeking an entry-level team member to operate bulk loading and pelleting systems in a fast-paced plant environment. You will assist with mixing, batching, and pellet production, while maintaining clean work areas and accurate documentation of loads and batch records.

The role includes cross-training in related support functions, overtime availability, and adherence to safety and procedural standards in a dusty, noisy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar production environment preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other equipment used in the production process.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other equipment (rollers, grinders, mixing, batching).
• Perform mixing, batching, and pelleting processes.
• Cross-train in other support roles.
• Load bulk orders with drivers and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain traceability with batch records and load-out logs.
• Inspect finished product quality and escalate issues.
• Run batching/mixing software and follow batching protocols.
• Maintain general cleanliness and equipment upkeep.
• Provide back-up support for other roles as needed.
• Overtime may be required as scheduled.
