MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be dependable, punctual, well-groomed, attentive and courteous, enthusiastic, cheerful, and able to take directions and complete assignments.
- Perform assigned duties as requested by the supervisor.
- Follow all district policies, rules and regulations.
- Operate all machines in the area and acquire new knowledge and skills as necessary to keep updated.

- Take responsibility for the accuracy of assigned tasks.
- Maintain office files in an organized manner.
- Answer the telephone with proper etiquette and take messages or refer the caller to the proper party.
- Greet visitors and personnel in a friendly manner and provide help.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other staff members.
- Write clearly and legibly using correct English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- File information correctly as assigned.
- Participate in staff development training programs and special events as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL/SECRETARY/BOOKKEEPER/ CLERICAL AIDE

- Evidence of ability to complement CCISD’s total program.
- Keep the work area clean and properly organized.
- Inventory supplies and store them in the proper location.
- Maintain accurate pupil attendance and enrollment records.
- Keep accurate timesheets.
- Practice effective communication with staff and fellow workers.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Operate various machines in clerical area and acquire new knowledge and skills as necessary to keep updated.
- Type assigned letters, reports, various lists, and memos with accuracy.
- Maintain student organization and discipline in an assigned area.
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
- Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse; occasional reaching
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
- Environment: Frequent district-wide travel; occasional statewide travel
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
