Job summary

Recovery Innovations in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I to provide recovery-focused support and training to individuals receiving services at the Crisis - Wake Recovery Response Center.

The role requires completion of Peer Employment Training and Certification as a Peer Support Specialist, with a 4-day orientation and ongoing development opportunities. Salary ranges $17.00–$18.00/hour, with full-time, non-exempt status and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Peer Employment Training and certification as a Peer Support Specialist is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Lived experience requiring mental health and/or substance use services.
• Ability to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Guest Care & Advocacy: provide peer support and help participants identify hopes and solutions.
• Compliance & Risk Management: document work and follow regulations and policies.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: coordinate with clinical team to arrange services.
• Additional Duties: perform other related duties as assigned.
