Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide one-on-one support, assist with daily problem-solving, and promote recovery-oriented services within PCMH/OTP Community-Based Programs in Arizona.

The role emphasizes assertive engagement, harm reduction and peer-support approaches to help clients reintegrate into the community and surrounding facilities while upholding a culture of safety and inclusivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six months’ experience in Behavioral Health or Substance Abuse field.
• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders.
• Current AZ Driver's License (Valid and in good standing).
• Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Addiction and Substances Use Disorders certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and help with day-to-day problem-solving related to normalization and reintegration into the community.
• Utilize assertive engagement, harm reduction and peer support to engage with clients in the community and facility.
• Promote a safe, inclusive recovery environment and support clients in line with recovery philosophy.
