Job description

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a per diem Certified Peer Specialist to join our team.

The Certified Peer Specialist provides quality direct patient care to individuals with behavioral/mental health illnesses and chemical dependency disorders.

Primary responsibilities include group and individual education, provide ongoing peer support, teach and promote self-advocacy and recovery based/trauma informed principles, function as an integral member of treatment team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors required, Masters preferred in clinical studies. Must be a Certified Peer Specialist through the Department of Behavioral Health
  • Must have knowledge of developmental psychology and needs of various patient populations (age, diagnosis, etc.)
  • Must have the ability to maintain professional relationships and boundaries with patients, patient's family members, staff and community members.
