Michiana Behavioral Health, a UHS facility, is seeking a full-time Community-Based Response Peer Support Specialist for our Intensive Outpatient Program. The role focuses on building readiness to change and engaging individuals in the community with respect to their environment.

You will connect people with Navigators for insurance, verify resources with partners, and participate in ongoing trainings. A passion for reducing stigma and supporting recovery is essential.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or GED.
CPSP or CAPRC required.
Valid Driver's License.
Crisis Peer Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Engage with individuals requesting support through Connect Marshall County app in a trauma-informed manner.
Connect individuals with Navigators as needed to obtain insurance.
Connect with community partners to verify available resources and update the app with current information.
Participate in trainings to continue to gain new skills.
Attend meetings as required.

COMMUNITY-BASED RESPONSE PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST - Full-Time

Michiana Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time community-focused Peer Support Specialist for our Intensive Outpatient Program. A Peer Support Specialist will work to build readiness to change and engage individuals in the surrounding community in a way that respects the person in their environment and serves to reduce stigma.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Engage with individuals requesting support through Connect Marshall County app in a trauma-informed manner that allows for rapport building
Connect individuals with Navigators as needed to obtain insurance
Connect with community partners to verify available resources and update the app with current information
Participate in trainings to continue to gain new skills
Attend meetings as required

Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) or Certified Addiction Peer Recovery Coach (CAPRC I and CAPRC II) required
