Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Personal life experience in recovery.
• 1 year working with persons with substance use disorders, mental health, or related field preferred.
• CRSS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Encourage client engagement in treatment through ongoing motivation, empathy, and assistance navigating recovery and harm reduction resources.
• Maintain an active caseload and deliver peer recovery services tailored to individual client needs.
• Accurately and timely document all client interactions, assessments, referrals, and other required information per program and agency standards.
• Support clients in reducing barriers and achieving recovery or harm reduction goals through collaboration with clinical staff and treatment teams.
• Engage new clients through one-on-one sessions, facilitate support groups and workshops, and encourage re-engagement for missed appointments.

SUMMARY

The Peer Recovery Support Worker is a key member of the multidisciplinary team within the Road to Recovery Program, providing non-clinical, peer-based support to individuals recovering from opioid use disorder. The Peer Recovery Support Worker will execute tasks outlined in the Supplies, Access, Facilitation, and Education program (SAFE) The incumbent utilizes personal life experience in recovery to build trust, foster a supportive environment, and guide clients through the challenges of recovery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• Personal life experience.
• One (1) year working with persons with substance use disorders, mental health, or related field preferred
• Obtain CRSS within one (1) year of hire.
• Ability and opportunity to work flexible hours
