Job summary

Rogers Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to deliver patient-centered care for individuals with substance use disorders within the MHAR program.

You will conduct individual sessions, assist in developing and documenting treatment plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support goals and continuity of care. The role requires SUD/MH credentials, 2+ years of related experience, and certification or training in peer support, CPR, first aid, and crisis

Qualifications

• Must hold Wisconsin SAC credentials or be in training within 90 days.
• Minimum two years experience serving persons with MH and SUD.
• CPR/Rescue certification required at hire.
• First aid training within 90 days of employment.
• Driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide SUD care to assigned patients following interdisciplinary plan.
• Facilitate SUD group sessions and document progress.
• Coordinate therapy planning and discharge planning with the treatment team.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, DHS regulations and program policies.
• Transport patients as needed and maintain a safe environment.

Education

Wisconsin-Substance Abuse Counselor In Training, Wisconsin-Substance Abuse Counselor or Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor certification (SAC-IT, SAC, CSAC) in good standing

Bachelor’s degree or 5 years valid experience

Certified Peer Specialist Certification (CPS) or 40 hours peer recovery coach training per WI DHS 72

Current CPR certification (AHA/Red Cross)

First aid training within 90 days

Driver’s license in good standing
