Job summary

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions, LLC in Marysville, OH is seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to help individuals in recovery through lived-experience guidance and supportive outreach. The PRS will work in community settings, client homes, or treatment facilities, may drive and accompany clients, and collaborates with clinicians to connect clients to care.

Qualifications include high school diploma or GED, Ohio PRS certification, a valid Ohio driver's license, and ability to pass

Qualifications

• Keeps abreast of community resources and educates clients about them.
• Promotes a natural support system in the community for clients served.
• Supports pro-social interventions and client connectedness.
• Encourages Wellness and Recovery Action Plans (WRAP).

Responsibilities

• Proactively support individuals in recovery from substance use disorder.
• Services can be provided in the community, client's home, or treatment facility office.
• Provide in-person or phone support, not via text.
• Must be able to drive and occasionally transport clients.
• Assist clients in accessing appropriate levels of care with clinicians.
• Maintain confidentiality of communications; act as mentor and advocate.
• Serve as group facilitator for peer-led support groups.
• Share personal recovery experiences to build authentic peer relationships.
• Maintain electronic records and scheduling sheets as required.
