Job summary

Grace Medical Center in Baltimore, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a Peer Recovery Specialist to provide behavioral health services, draw on lived recovery experience, and support individuals in recovery to set and achieve personal goals.

The PRS will document encounters, lead peer support groups, and collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor to promote a culture of recovery within the agency and the community.

Qualifications

• Must have completed CCAR/WRAP training and/or be a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist.
• Reliable transportation; mileage reimbursed for duties.
• Self-identified current or former user of mental health or co-occurring services who can relate to others.
• Understand Recovery Supportive Services.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Sobriety/recovery for at least 2 years.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health services and foster supportive peer relationships among enrolled individuals.
• Conduct peer support groups to help participants realize goals in treatment, employment, education, and life changes.
• Complete detailed and accurate encounter notes and other program reports.
• Report to the Clinical Supervisor on matters related to program goals and standards.
• Promote and contribute to a culture of recovery and empowerment within and outside the agency.
