Job summary

Community Care Alliance in Woonsocket, RI is seeking a compassionate Peer Recovery Specialist to join our Safe Haven drop‑in center on a full‑time basis. You will provide peer support to homeless and housing‑unstable clients, help navigate resources, and maintain a welcoming space.

The role requires collaboration with housing, behavioral health, and community partners, adherence to licensing standards, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Peer Support Certification required.
• Bilingual/multi-lingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients with unconditional positive regard and develop a trusting working alliance.
• Assist clients in accessing resources including housing, benefits, and healthcare.
• De-escalate clients experiencing emotional distress.
• Care coordination with other providers and connect with external community resources.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming space in the drop-in center.
