Job summary

Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to help clients navigate recovery services, access entitlements, and connect to community resources. The role emphasizes crisis intervention, empowerment, and building a strong recovery support network.

The position operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with benefits including medical/dental/vision, a company fleet vehicle, generous PTO, tuition reimbursement, PSLF eligibility, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Valid driver''s license with 2 points or less.
• May need to use your own vehicle if a BCCS car is not available.
• Peer recovery eligibility is required; BCCS emphasizes candidates in recovery.
• Minimum of 2 years in recovery.
• CPRS is preferred; certification within the first year of employment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients through the program and support their recovery process.
• Help clients gain entitlements and access community resources.
• Provide guidance to overcome barriers in recovery and connect to services.
• Act as a case manager to obtain resources (housing, employment, healthcare, transportation, etc.).
• Provide crisis intervention and connect individuals to community resources.
• Educate and empower individuals to build a strong recovery support system.
• Assist with self-care, coping skills, and connecting to outside resources.
