Job summary

CarePoint Response, Inc. is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist in Allegany County to support individuals facing behavioral health crises. You will work with clinicians and community partners to link clients to care, create crisis plans, and connect to recovery resources.

As a person with lived experience, you will document interactions, advocate for strengths-based recovery, and help individuals move toward wellness. This is a full-time role with day shifts in Allegany County, Maryland.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with behavioral health and/or substance use recovery.
• Strong communication, empathy, and advocacy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals through crisis and recovery with clinicians and partners.
• Develop crisis plans and link to care.
• Facilitate engagement and help individuals feel welcome and supported.
• Connect individuals to behavioral health, addiction, peer recovery, and community resources.
• Document interactions accurately and timely.
