Job summary

Helptucson in Tucson, AZ seeks a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to help clients access housing and resources. You will support case management, document in EHR/HMIS, and assist with daily program tasks under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, a valid AZ driver's license with insurance, PRSS Academy completion, and prior behavioral health outreach experience. Flexibility and cultural competence are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a car.
• Completion of the PRSS Academy.
• Minimum six weeks of behavioral health work experience.
• Recent outreach with unsheltered homeless individuals in the area.
• Ability to work flexible schedules.
• Cultural competence with diverse populations.
• Bilingual, bicultural, or veteran status a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts recruitment/outreach and follow-up with unsheltered individuals.
• Deliver peer recovery support services to clients.
• Utilize experiential knowledge through storytelling.
• Document services in the CT1 electronic health record.
• Document services in the HMIS record.
• Meet billable expectations as set by OPCS.
• Complete incident reports as needed.
• Maintain client records confidentially per grant/HIPAA standards.
• Attend all mandatory training.
• Transport clients as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
