Job summary

Telecare Corporation is hiring a Peer Recovery Coach I to engage with members, help them set and meet recovery goals, and promote a recovery-centered culture across teams. The role includes responding to emergencies with de-escalation skills and maintaining least restrictive interventions.

Shifts are on-call across AM/NOC/PM with a starting wage around $23.00 per hour; geographic differentials apply. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, peer certification, and California

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment.
• California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of your date of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.

Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate conversations to help members meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture.
• Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills.
• Support a least restrictive environment during emergencies related to mental health/addiction challenges.
