Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Unit Associate to support the safe and efficient delivery of healthcare services. This fast-paced role involves stocking Pyxis and supply carts, checking expiration dates, and ensuring patient rooms are well-stocked.

You will work with Nurses and the Unit Coordinator, performing duties as assigned. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and familiarity with hospital equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/ urgent situations and to follow established procedures
• Knowledge of hospital equipment, supplied and procedures (highly preferred)
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors and other hospital employees
• General office, communication equipment, cleaning equipment, knowledge of keyboarding and basic Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Stock items to Pyxis and supply carts.
• Monitor expiration dates on items.
• Ensure patient rooms are properly stocked with supplies and linens.
• Restock supply rooms and maintain clean work environment.
• Collaborate with Nurses and Unit Coordinator; perform other duties as assigned.
