Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Unit Associate for evenings: 3p-11p, full-time 40 hours, five days a week with every-other weekend. You will stock Pyxis and supply carts, check expiration dates, ensure patient rooms and supply rooms stay stocked, maintain clean work areas, and collaborate with nurses and the unit coordinator to support safe patient care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, the ability to respond to emergencies per procedures, familiarity with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergency/ urgent situations and to follow established procedures
• Knowledge of and familiarity with hospital equipment, supplied and procedures (highly preferred)
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with inter-professional staff, patients, families, visitors and other hospital employees
• General office, communication equipment, cleaning equipment, knowledge of keyboarding and basic Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Stocking items to Pyxis and supply carts, monitoring expiration dates on items, ensuring patient rooms are properly stocked with supplies and linens, restocking supply rooms, maintaining a clean work environment and other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with Nurses and the Unit Coordinator to support safe and efficient healthcare delivery.
