Job summary

Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Unit Associate I for the Neuroscience unit on the day shift. This limited-hours role supports nurses and the unit coordinator with stocking Pyxis and supply carts, checking expirations, and maintaining clean, organized patient areas.

The 32-bed adult inpatient unit handles neuro medical/surgical care including EMU; candidates should have a high school diploma and strong teamwork, with benefits including medical plans, PTO, and tuition

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to identify clinical and environmental emergencies and follow procedures.
• Knowledge of hospital equipment, supplies and procedures preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication to interact with staff, patients and visitors.
• Familiarity with keyboarding and basic Windows applications.

Responsibilities

• Stock items to Pyxis and supply carts, monitor expiration dates and inventory.
• Ensure patient rooms are stocked with supplies and linens.
• Restock supply rooms and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with Nurses and Unit Coordinator on daily tasks.
