Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is a leading provider of orthotic and prosthetic services nationwide. The Pedorthist role involves evaluating patients, designing, fabricating and fitting pedorthic devices, and collaborating with clinicians to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, follow-up, and clinical documentation. A valid driver’s license and state licensure where required are necessary; certification or 5+ years experience under supervision may apply in

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Pedorthics from the ABC or BOC, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A valid driver’s license and driving record within policy standards.
• In states with licensure, ability to obtain and maintain state licensure.
• May consider candidates not certified but with at least 5 years of prosthetic/orthotic experience under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate pedorthic service needs and recommend treatment options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design pedorthotic devices and select materials; take cast measurements and perform modifications.
• Perform fitting and alignments; ensure device fit, function and efficacy.
• Provide patient training on devices; maintain clinical notes and participate in reimbursements.
