Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Fremont, CA is seeking a Pedorthist (CPed) to assess patients, formulate treatment plans, and fabricate and fit pedorthic devices, including shoes and orthoses, while collaborating with the rehabilitation team.

You will work under certified clinicians when needed, maintain detailed clinical notes, and adhere to safety regulations and reimbursement processes, contributing to superior patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Pedorthics from ABC or BOC, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license and driving record in standards.
• In states with licensure, ability to obtain and maintain licensure.
• May consider candidates without certification but with 5+ years of prosthetic/orthotic experience under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate pedorthic needs and options.
• Design, fabricate, fit pedorthic devices and related orthoses.
• Provide patient education on device use and follow-up with physicians.
• Maintain detailed clinical notes and adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Potentially mentor newly certified clinicians and support reimbursement activities.

Education

Board certification in Pedorthics (ABC or BOC)
