Job summary

Children's Health in Plano, TX is seeking an experienced RN for the ACS General Pediatrics Surgical Unit. The role is full-time, nights (7pm–7am), on-site, with two additional shifts available.

You will provide direct patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to evidenced-based plans of care. Required BSN and Texas RN license, plus BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• BSN required and current RN license in Texas.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications preferred as department requirements.
• Experience in pediatric or ACS General Pediatrics settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes, delegates and coordinates patient care using nursing judgment.
• Oversees care delivered by the patient care team and coordinates the plan of care.
• Documents patient encounters accurately in EPIC.
• Ensures PHI privacy and complies with infection prevention guidelines.
• Collaborates with physicians and families to develop and implement care plans.
