Job summary

Children's Health Plano is seeking a Registered Nurse to independently perform direct patient care in the Integrated Therapy Unit, using the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.

The role collaborates with physicians and health care professionals to develop and implement care plans, supports patient and family needs, and requires a BSN with Texas RN license and CPR/BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS may be department specific.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse duties and responsibilities in direct patient care.
• At least 1 year registered nursing experience is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes, delegates and coordinates patient care with clinical judgment.
• Ensures safety, effectiveness, patient rights and guest relations.
• Oversees care delivered by the patient care team; coordinates the plan.
• Provides education to patients, families and staff with cultural sensitivity.
• Collaborates with physicians and other professionals to implement care plans.
