Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Research Project Manager in the Pediatrics Research department to oversee design, execution, and administrative operations of research studies. The role involves coordinating protocols, IRB activities, budgets, and staff across domestic and international sites.

The position requires a Master's Degree with 3 years of research experience (Bachelor's + 5 years acceptable) and offers a hybrid schedule, 40 hours weekly, with competitive pay and strong professional

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and years of research experience)
• Master’s Degree + 3 years of research experience (Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years can be substituted)

Responsibilities

• Study Development & Protocols: Collaborate with the study team to design and develop study protocols, assessment instruments, IRB protocols, and DUAs.
• Project Operations & Coordination: Schedule and coordinate study team meetings, communications, and documentation with internal team members, external collaborators, and across all study sites. Monitor ongoing study implementation.
• Participant Administration: Assist with patient recruitment, schedule study visits, enter and update patient data, and administer questionnaires as needed.
• Financial & Contract Management: Monitor project budgets and spending. Coordinate contracts with independent consultants and subcontractors.
• Grants & Compliance: Coordinate new grant applications, ensure full compliance with reporting requirements to the NIH and other grant funding institutions, and assist with manuscript and presentation preparation.
• Staff Supervision: Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and managing effort for research support staff working on a full-time, part-time, or temporary basis.
